OWG Competition Schedule

Eligibility

• All athletes coaches and officials must be full members in good standing with Ontario Volleyball
• All athletes coaches and officials must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
• Athlete age requirements: Girls born 1997 or younger, Boys born 1996 or younger

Teams

• 8 teams per gender have been accepted into the OWGs. It is an Ontario Games policy that sports send an equal number of male and female participants
• The two (2) largest regions as determined by membership records as of August 31, 2011 will be given the option of bringing two (2) teams

Coaching

• The coaching staffs are comprised of one (1) Head Coach, one (1) Assistant Coach and one (1) Manager
• The entire coaching staff must have a valid police record check with a vulnerable sector screen on file with the OVA
• The Head or Assistance Coach must be of the same gender competing (ex. a female team must have at least one female Head or Assistant Coach)
• Coaches must be fully certified Level I, but it is recommended that both Head and Assistant Coaches be fully certified at Level II as per games policy
